Virginia Casper, Ph.D., is faculty member and Interim Dean of the Graduate School of Education at Bank Street College in New York City. She is a developmental psychologist by training and a teacher educator by trade, having worked with young children and families across a variety of settings in New York City and abroad. Her research has focused on issues of attachment, gender and parent-teacher relationships.
Dr. Casper is the co-author of Gay Parents/Straight Schools: Building Communication and Trust and Introduction to Early Childhood Education: Learning Together, both of which highlight the importance of a multifaceted and flexible approach in addressing the unique needs of students at home and at school.
