Lilian Katz, Ph.D., is Professor Emerita of Early Childhood Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is currently Co-Director of the Clearinghouse on Early Education and Parenting (CEEP) at the University of Illinois. Dr. Katz is most interested in issues of childhood and teacher education, as well as childhood development and parenting. Lilian has authored more than one hundred publications on these topics, and is the current Editor of the first on-line peer reviewed bilingual early childhood journal, Early Childhood Research & Practice. Dr. Katz was founding editor of the Early Childhood Research Quarterly, and served as Editor-in-Chief during its first six years.
