Jennifer Kozel has spent time throughout Asia having lived In Japan, Korea and China before moving to New York to earn Master’s Degrees in Asian and Museum Studies. She has worked at the Freer and Sackler Galleries of the Smithsonian, the Asia Society and the American Museum of Natural History among others. In her current position as Director of School and Outreach Programs at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan she has worked with the New York City Department of Education, the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development, the New York Public Libraries and oversees the 25,000 students that visit the museum each year and the 35,000 students that are served through outreach programs that take place throughout the city. She is a member of the Manhattan Borough President’s Overcrowding Task Force, sits on the Parks and Youth Committees of New York City’s Community Board 5, has organized a coalition to create a theater district in North Flatiron and is on the board of the Silkscrim Foundation of Art.
